Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings of medical dictation and accurately transcribe them into written reports.
- Ensure accurate spelling, grammar, punctuation, and correct medical terminology usage.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for clarity, consistency, and compliance with client requirements.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA privacy guidelines and data security protocols.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify unclear dictation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in medical transcription.
- Exceptional typing speed (65+ WPM) with a high degree of accuracy (98%+).
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and medical transcription software (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Emdat).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
