Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and convert spoken language into written text with high accuracy.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Adhere to strict formatting guidelines and client-specific style sheets.
- Manage file uploads and downloads securely within the company portal.
- Utilize speech recognition software effectively to enhance productivity.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance regarding patient data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or certification in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Proven typing speed of 60+ WPM with exceptional accuracy (99%+).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific software (e.g., Dragon, Express Scribe).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Must be located within the United States, specifically willing to work from the New Orleans area.
