- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and proper medical formatting.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance standards and confidentiality guidelines.
- Utilize medical transcription software and equipment efficiently.
- Research unfamiliar medical terms, drugs, and abbreviations to ensure correct usage.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and meet daily volume requirements.
- Communicate with healthcare providers for clarification on unclear dictation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical transcription is preferred.
- Proven experience in medical transcription or related field.
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 60 WPM) and accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
