- Listen to dictated recordings from healthcare professionals and transcribe them into medical reports.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and medical accuracy.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality guidelines at all times.
- Utilize medical transcription software and tools efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Follow specific formatting and style guidelines provided by the facility.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding unclear dictation or technical issues.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience in medical transcription or transcription services.
- Strong command of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM with high accuracy.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and personal computer.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
