Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical dictations into accurate, properly formatted electronic health records
- Ensure 99%+ accuracy in transcriptions while meeting daily productivity targets
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards and maintain strict confidentiality
- Utilize advanced transcription software and specialized medical terminology resources
- Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, and consistency
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve unclear dictations
- Continuously improve knowledge of evolving medical documentation standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical transcription experience
- Proven typing speed of 85+ WPM with exceptional accuracy
- Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or equivalent preferred
- Expertise in medical terminology, anatomy, and disease processes
- Proficiency with EHR systems and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, M-Modal)
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home office setup
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
