Responsibilities
- Transcribe physician and healthcare provider dictation into clear, accurate, and timely medical reports.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) software and transcription tools effectively.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas without compromising quality.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding discrepancies or urgent deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary certification in Medical Transcription is preferred.
- Proven experience (1+ years) in medical transcription or related field.
- Strong command of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Typing speed of 60 WPM or higher with high accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Word and EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
