Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings of healthcare providers and transcribe them into accurate written medical reports.
- Ensure strict adherence to medical terminology, grammar, and formatting standards.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for clarity, accuracy, and completeness before submission.
- Adhere to all HIPAA compliance protocols and data privacy regulations.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and quality assurance benchmarks.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding unclear dictation or technical issues.
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding and transcription software.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical transcription (1-3 years preferred).
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar and spelling.
- Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 60 WPM).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain high focus.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
