Responsibilities
- Monitor network security systems 24/7, analyzing alerts and responding to potential threats during overnight shifts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Implement security protocols and updates to maintain robust defense mechanisms
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed incident reports for leadership review
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex security challenges
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and industry best practices
- Provide after-hours technical support for critical security infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years in cybersecurity or IT security operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and security automation tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for threat detection
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and documentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
