Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support via remote channels (phone, chat, email) during night shifts.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for a distributed workforce.
- Manage and prioritize IT service tickets and incident reports with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Monitor system performance and perform nightly maintenance tasks, including security patches and backups.
- Document technical solutions and create comprehensive knowledge base articles for the team.
- Collaborate with the day-shift engineering team to ensure continuity of support and resolve escalated issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Google IT Support Professional Certificate.
- Must be willing to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM EST).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, noise-free home workspace.
- Experience with remote desktop tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk) and ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow).
