Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictations (progress notes, discharge summaries, operative reports)
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance and data security protocols
- Maintain 99%+ accuracy rate with consistent quality standards
- Utilize specialized medical terminology databases for complex cases
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining attention to detail
- Collaborate with quality assurance team for continuous improvement
- Adapt to various physician accents and dictation styles
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical transcription experience
- Credential: Registered Healthcare Documentation Specialist (RHDS) or CMT
- Typing speed: 85+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Expert knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Proficiency in ExpressScribe or similar transcription software
- High-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps)
- Quiet, dedicated home office environment
- Ability to manage deadlines independently
