Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into written text with high accuracy and speed.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and factual errors before submission.
- Adhere to strict quality control standards and client-specific formatting requirements.
- Manage and organize files using transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, oTranscribe).
- Meet daily and weekly productivity targets and deadlines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive medical or legal information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Proven typing speed of at least 60 WPM with high accuracy.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and spelling.
- Experience with medical or legal terminology is a plus but not mandatory.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office space.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific software.
