Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictation from diverse healthcare providers into comprehensive patient records
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards and maintain strict confidentiality protocols
- Edit and proofread transcripts for grammar, clarity, and medical terminology accuracy
- Utilize specialized transcription software and digital record management systems
- Meet daily productivity quotas while maintaining quality standards above 98% accuracy
- Collaborate with quality assurance team for continuous improvement
- Adapt to various medical specialties including cardiology, orthopedics, and radiology
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional medical transcription experience
- Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or RHDS credential preferred
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 80 WPM) with 98% accuracy
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation
- Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet home workspace
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner) and transcription platforms (Dictaphone, MModal)
