Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical dictations (progress notes, discharge summaries, operative reports) with 98%+ accuracy
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Utilize EHR systems (Epic/Cerner) and specialized transcription software
- Perform quality edits to ensure grammatical precision and medical terminology accuracy
- Meet daily productivity benchmarks while maintaining consistent quality
- Collaborate with QA team for continuous improvement of transcripts
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical transcription experience with acute care focus
- CCS or RHIT certification strongly preferred
- Typing speed of 85+ WPM with exceptional accuracy
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and dictation playback software
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and dedicated home office space
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
