Responsibilities
- Listen to audio files provided by clients and transcribe them into written text with high accuracy and speed.
- Format transcripts according to specific client guidelines and style guides (APA, MLA, etc.).
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Manage multiple audio files and meet daily and weekly productivity targets.
- Research unfamiliar medical or legal terminology to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with project managers for clarification on complex dictations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or certification in transcription is preferred.
- Proven experience in transcription (medical, legal, or general) is highly desirable.
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 60 WPM) and accuracy.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines.
