Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictation from various specialists into clear, concise, and formatted text.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and medical accuracy before submission.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards at all times.
- Utilize specialized transcription software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems efficiently.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and quality assurance standards.
- Research and resolve ambiguous medical terms or unclear audio clips independently.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding unclear dictation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional medical transcription experience required.
- Proficient typing speed of 65+ words per minute with high accuracy.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Experience with cloud-based transcription platforms (e.g., 3M M*Modal, Dictaphone, Nuance).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
