Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical dictation from doctors and healthcare professionals into written text with high accuracy and formatting.
- Proofread and edit transcribed documents to ensure they meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize speech recognition software to expedite the transcription process while maintaining quality control.
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times.
- Manage daily volume requirements and meet strict turnaround times.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding unclear audio files or terminology.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and transcription best practices through continuous learning.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Medical Transcription or related field preferred.
- Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM with a minimum of 95% accuracy.
- Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Access to a high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Reliable computer hardware and up-to-date operating systems.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
