Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings of meetings, interviews, and proceedings into verbatim text documents
- Apply specialized formatting for medical/legal terminology and industry-specific jargon
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA/GDPR compliance for sensitive content
- Utilize AI-assisted editing tools while maintaining 99.5% accuracy standards
- Meet daily production quotas (average 3-5 audio hours per day)
- Collaborate with editors to resolve unclear terminology or audio quality issues
- Adhere to client-specific style guides and turnaround time requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience (medical/legal preferred)
- Proven typing speed of 85+ WPM with 99.5% accuracy
- Proficiency in Express Scribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, or similar software
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology or legal documentation protocols
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote environment
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet home office setup
