Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into accurate text format using industry-standard software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure they are free of errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality standards and data security protocols.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and accuracy targets.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and quality assurance specialists regarding unclear audio or instructions.
- Stay updated on medical and legal terminology relevant to the assigned projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in transcription (medical, legal, or general) is preferred.
- Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60-80 WPM).
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation rules.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
