Responsibilities
- Listen to dictated recordings from medical professionals and transcribe them into text format with high accuracy.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Format reports according to specific client requirements and style guides.
- Proofread transcripts for grammatical errors and correct medical terminology usage.
- Communicate with healthcare providers for clarification when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or certification in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM with high accuracy (95%+).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and transcription software (e.g., Dragon, Express Scribe).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
