Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictations including patient histories, consultations, and discharge summaries
- Ensure 99%+ accuracy in complex medical terminology and documentation formatting
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA compliance protocols for all patient information
- Utilize our proprietary transcription software with AI-assisted editing tools
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality benchmarks
- Collaborate with medical editors to resolve unclear dictations
- Participate in quarterly quality improvement reviews
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional medical transcription experience
- Credential from AHDI (formerly AHIMA) preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology (anatomy, pharmacology, procedures)
- Typing speed minimum 85 WPM with 98% accuracy
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet workspace
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
