Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe medical dictation into clear, accurate text.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards.
- Manage daily volume of medical reports (consultations, operative reports, etc.) on time.
- Utilize industry-standard transcription software and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding unclear dictation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Proven experience in medical transcription or related healthcare documentation.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Exceptional typing speed of 60+ WPM with high accuracy (98%+).
- Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace at home.
- Must pass a background check and typing proficiency test.
