Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings into accurate text documents using specialized transcription software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure 99% accuracy and adherence to medical coding standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of all patient information (HIPAA compliance).
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas within a designated turnaround time.
- Follow specific formatting guidelines and style guides provided by the quality assurance team.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding unclear dictation or terminology.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Medical Transcription or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in medical transcription is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation with a minimum typing speed of 60 WPM.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology is required.
- Reliable, high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office workspace.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
