Responsibilities
- Accurate Transcription: Listen to audio recordings of medical dictations and transcribe them into clear, accurate, and grammatically correct text documents.
- Medical Terminology: Utilize a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology to ensure precise documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit all transcribed documents to eliminate errors and ensure they meet strict quality standards and compliance guidelines.
- Timely Submission: Meet strict daily and weekly deadlines for all assigned transcription projects to ensure smooth workflow for healthcare providers.
- Format Compliance: Adhere to specific formatting guidelines, including templates, abbreviations, and medical coding standards.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Medical Transcription or Healthcare Administration is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in medical transcription, preferably in a remote setting.
- Skills: Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 60 WPM) with a high degree of accuracy.
- Software: Proficiency in transcription software (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Express Scribe) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Technical Requirements: Reliable high-speed internet, a dedicated workspace, and a quiet home environment.
- Language: Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
