Responsibilities
- Listen to dictated medical or business recordings and transcribe them into written text with 99% accuracy.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.
- Format documents according to client or company style guides.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas and deadlines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient and client information.
- Use transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe) and audio equipment effectively.
- Flag unclear audio files to supervisors for clarification.
Qualifications
- Previous transcription experience or completion of a transcription certification program.
- Exceptional listening skills and a high degree of accuracy.
- Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute.
- Strong command of the English language and grammar rules.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or GED required.
