In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate medical records, enabling healthcare providers to deliver the best possible patient care. We are looking for individuals who possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional typing skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings of medical consultations, surgeries, and dictations into accurate text documents.
- Proofread and edit all transcripts to ensure high standards of grammar, spelling, and medical terminology.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards.
- Manage daily transcription quotas and meet specific turnaround time requirements.
- Utilize specialized transcription software and hardware effectively.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team to resolve unclear audio.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional transcription experience (medical or legal preferred).
- Typing speed of at least 60-80 WPM with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong command of the English language and medical vocabulary.
- Reliable, high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
- Ability to pass a skills assessment test.
- Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines without supervision.
