Responsibilities
- Listen to audio files and transcribe them into text with high accuracy and adherence to formatting guidelines.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive patient and client information.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas within strict deadlines.
- Utilize transcription software and foot pedals effectively.
- Communicate with the quality assurance team to resolve unclear audio segments.
- Stay updated on industry terminology and transcription best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certification in Medical Transcription is preferred.
- Proven typing speed of at least 60 WPM with high accuracy.
- Experience with medical or legal terminology is highly desirable.
- Must have a quiet workspace and reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and transcription-specific software.
