Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings into accurate, verbatim text documents with exceptional speed.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure 99% accuracy in grammar, spelling, and formatting.
- Adhere to strict client-specific style guides and confidentiality protocols.
- Utilize advanced transcription software (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking) to maximize efficiency.
- Manage daily workflow to meet or exceed production quotas without sacrificing quality.
- Communicate promptly with the quality assurance team regarding ambiguous audio or terminology.
- Maintain a professional home office environment to ensure high-quality audio capture.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or certification in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Minimum typing speed of 70 WPM with high accuracy.
- Strong command of the English language, including advanced grammar and vocabulary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and audio transcription software.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Ability to pass a background check and maintain HIPAA compliance standards.
- Previous experience in medical or legal transcription is highly desirable.
