Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings with 98%+ accuracy across medical, legal, and general business domains
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA/GDPR compliance standards
- Utilize specialized transcription software and digital tools for efficient processing
- Perform quality checks and edit transcripts for grammar, clarity, and consistency
- Meet daily/weekly production targets while maintaining exceptional turnaround times
- Collaborate with editors and clients to resolve ambiguous content or terminology
- Continuously update knowledge of industry-specific terminology and formatting standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience in healthcare/legal fields
- Proven typing speed of 80+ WPM with exceptional accuracy
- Proficiency in ExpressScribe, Dragon, or similar transcription platforms
- Strong command of medical terminology (CPC or CMT certification preferred)
- Ability to self-manage deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and style guides
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet home office environment
- Must be a resident of Kansas City, MO area for local compliance requirements
