Responsibilities
- Convert audio files into accurate medical text reports using specialized dictation software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and factual accuracy to maintain 99%+ quality standards.
- Strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to input and manage patient data securely.
- Meet daily production quotas while adhering to strict turnaround times.
- Stay current on medical terminology, anatomy, and evolving coding standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors to resolve complex transcription challenges.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) preferred.
- Proven typing speed of 60-80 WPM with high accuracy.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Proficiency with medical transcription tools (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking, EHR platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
