Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictation (history & physicals, consults, discharge summaries)
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data security
- Format documents according to client specifications (e.g., AAMT style)
- Utilize digital foot pedals and transcription software efficiently
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining 98%+ accuracy
- Research and resolve unfamiliar medical terminology
- Perform quality self-reviews before submission
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical transcription experience
- Proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology
- Ability to type 85+ WPM with exceptional accuracy
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office
- Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
