Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe spoken language into written documents with a minimum of 99% accuracy.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure grammatical correctness, punctuation, and proper formatting.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and manage daily audio queue volumes efficiently.
- Research and verify ambiguous terms, medical codes, and proper nouns using reference tools.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Utilize transcription software and tools to enhance productivity and workflow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Medical Transcription or related field is a plus.
- Proven typing speed of 60+ WPM with exceptional accuracy.
- Basic understanding of medical and legal terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer navigation.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
