Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictations across diverse specialties (cardiology, orthopedics, radiology)
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all documentation processes
- Format transcripts according to client-specific style guides
- Perform quality checks for grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology accuracy
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining 98%+ accuracy rates
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams for continuous improvement
- Adapt to evolving EHR systems and documentation requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical transcription experience
- Credential: CMT (Certified Medical Transcriptionist) or RHDS (Registered Healthcare Documentation Specialist)
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 85 WPM) with 98% accuracy
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, MModal)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent command of English grammar and punctuation rules
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
