Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe text into written documents in a timely manner.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and factual accuracy.
- Ensure all medical terminology and industry-specific jargon are used correctly.
- Meet strict daily and weekly deadlines without compromising quality standards.
- Utilize specialized transcription software and tools efficiently.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive patient and client information.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team regarding unclear audio or queries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in medical or general transcription is highly desirable.
- Excellent typing speed (minimum 50-60 WPM required).
- Strong command of the English language, including advanced grammar and punctuation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and specialized transcription software.
