Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical/legal audio recordings with 99%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive patient/client data
- Utilize advanced transcription software and productivity tools
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining consistent quality standards
- Format transcripts according to client specifications (e.g., AAMT, BOS)
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and terminology
- Communicate proactively with project coordinators regarding quality issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proficiency in medical/legal terminology (CPC or CMT preferred)
- Typing speed of 85+ WPM with exceptional accuracy
- High-speed internet connection and noise-free home workspace
- Mastery of ExpressScribe or equivalent transcription software
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
