Job Overview:
As a Remote Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for listening to audio recordings and converting them into written documents with high accuracy and speed. You will work closely with our quality assurance team to ensure all deliverables meet strict industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe medical and legal dictations into clear, accurate text.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and factual accuracy.
- Adhere to client-specific formatting guidelines and style guides strictly.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and accuracy targets.
- Utilize transcription software and medical dictionaries effectively.
- Communicate with the QA team to resolve any ambiguities or errors.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in medical or legal transcription (minimum 1-2 years).
- Exceptional typing speed (60+ WPM) with high accuracy.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and medical transcription software.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
