- Proofread and edit transcripts for clarity, flow, and completeness before submission.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Format documents according to client-specific templates and style guides.
- Manage daily workload efficiently to meet productivity and quality metrics.
- Communicate promptly with quality assurance teams regarding unclear dictations or special instructions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in medical transcription is highly preferred.
- Proven typing speed of 45-60 WPM.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle time-sensitive deadlines.
