Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings into accurate, verbatim text transcripts.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure high-quality output, checking for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.
- Adhere to specific client guidelines, formatting styles, and industry-specific terminology.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards at all times.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas within a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team to resolve any discrepancies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word.
- Excellent command of the English language and grammar.
- Typing speed of at least 50 WPM with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience with medical or legal transcription is a strong plus.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- US Citizenship or legal right to work in the United States.
