Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical dictations with 99% accuracy across specialties including cardiology, orthopedics, and radiology
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards for patient data security and confidentiality
- Utilize advanced transcription software (Express Scribe, Dragon) with 95+ WPM typing proficiency
- Perform quality assurance reviews for grammar, medical terminology, and formatting consistency
- Meet daily production quotas of 15-20 pages of transcribed content
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve unclear dictations through secure messaging systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional medical transcription experience with EHR familiarity
- Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or RHDS credential required
- Exceptional listening skills with ability to decipher diverse accents and medical terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based document management
- High-speed internet connection with noise-cancelling headphones
- Proven ability to maintain strict deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Portland residency preferred for occasional on-site training
