Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical dictations with 98%+ accuracy following HIPAA guidelines
- Edit and format transcribed documents to meet client specifications
- Utilize specialized software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon) for efficient workflow
- Research and clarify medical terminology inconsistencies
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with quality assurance team for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical transcription experience
- Credential: Registered Medical Transcriptionist (RMT) or equivalent
- Typing speed: 85+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Proficiency in medical terminology (anatomy, pharmacology, procedures)
- Expertise in HIPAA compliance and data security protocols
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
