Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings of medical consultations and convert them into accurate, formatted text documents.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure high accuracy and adherence to grammar and style guidelines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and patient privacy at all times in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Use specialized transcription software and equipment to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and daily production quotas.
- Resolve ambiguous audio segments by conducting research when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding quality assurance and project updates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Medical Transcription or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in medical transcription or a related field.
- Must reside in Mesa, AZ (Remote position based in Mesa).
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 60 WPM) with high accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific tools.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and spelling.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
