Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictations across specialties including cardiology, radiology, and emergency medicine
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Format transcriptions according to client specifications and industry standards
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining 98.5%+ accuracy rate
- Utilize digital transcription tools including Express Scribe and medical terminology databases
- Collaborate with quality assurance team to resolve discrepancies and improve documentation
- Proactively identify and flag unclear dictations for follow-up
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional medical transcription experience
- Proficient typing speed of 85+ WPM with 99% accuracy
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner) and BOS standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- Flexible availability including weekends and off-hours coverage
- Professional certification (CMT/RMT) preferred
