Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio/video recordings across medical, legal, and general business domains
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining 99%+ accuracy
- Format transcripts according to client specifications (style guides, templates)
- Utilize professional transcription software and foot pedal controls
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and clarity
- Communicate proactively with project managers for clarification needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proven typing speed of 80+ WPM with 98%+ accuracy
- Familiarity with medical terminology (BLS/CPR certification preferred)
- Proficiency in ExpressScribe, Dragon, or equivalent transcription software
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office setup
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
