Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical dictations from physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals with 98%+ accuracy
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards and maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Format transcriptions according to client specifications and industry standards
- Utilize specialized transcription software and digital foot pedals efficiently
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, clarity, and medical terminology accuracy
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve discrepancies
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical transcription experience or equivalent training
- Proficient in medical terminology (ICD-10, CPT codes) and anatomy knowledge
- Typing speed of 80+ WPM with exceptional accuracy
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner) preferred
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and style guides
- Reliable availability during core business hours (8 AM - 5 PM CT)
