Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictations including patient histories, consultations, and operative reports
- Adhere to client-specific formatting guidelines and style requirements
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Utilize advanced transcription software and digital foot pedals efficiently
- Perform quality self-reviews to ensure 99%+ accuracy rates
- Meet daily productivity targets without compromising quality
- Collaborate with editors to resolve unclear terminology or audio issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical transcription experience with EHR familiarity
- Certificate in Medical Transcription (AHDI preferred)
- Typing speed of 85+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Express Scribe software
