Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of next-generation propulsion control systems utilizing AI and machine learning.
- Develop and deploy autonomous algorithms for trajectory optimization and real-time thrust vectoring.
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for the 2026 mission milestones, collaborating with product leadership.
- Conduct rigorous testing, validation, and simulation of propulsion hardware and software integration.
- Mentor a team of elite engineers and foster a culture of innovation, safety, and excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including astrophysicists, data scientists, and systems engineers.
- Document complex technical specifications and present architectural decisions to executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Masterβs or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in propulsion systems or AI/ML in high-stakes environments.
- Expert proficiency in Python, C++, and simulation tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, or ROS.
- Proven track record of leading complex engineering projects from concept to successful deployment.
- Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, control theory, and spacecraft dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and large-scale data processing pipelines.
