Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026 technology landscape (AI, quantum computing, biotech, climate tech)
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with 5-10 year business objectives
- Facilitate executive workshops on future scenarios and disruption preparedness
- Manage cross-functional R&D partnerships with leading academic institutions
- Present findings to investors and board members through compelling narratives
- Establish KPIs for innovation portfolio success and track ROI
- Drive adoption of agile futures methodologies across the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy consulting, innovation management, or futurist research
- Proven expertise in emerging technology adoption cycles
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership on 2020s technology trends
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks (e.g., STEEPLE analysis)
- Exceptional data visualization and presentation skills
- Deep network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (preferred)
