Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe complex medical reports, patient histories, and surgical notes with 99.5%+ precision
- Utilize advanced speech recognition software and AI-assisted editing tools
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and data security protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to clarify ambiguous terminology and ensure clinical accuracy
- Manage high-volume workloads across multiple specialties (cardiology, oncology, neurology)
- Train junior transcriptionists on proprietary documentation systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical transcription experience with EMR/EHR systems
- Certified Healthcare Documentation Specialist (CHDS) or equivalent credential
- Minimum 120 WPM typing speed with 99.5% accuracy
- Expert knowledge of medical terminology across 10+ specialties
- Proficiency in Dragon NaturallySpeaking and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- BA/BS in Health Information Management preferred
