Responsibilities
- Transcribe dictations from physicians and healthcare professionals with 99%+ accuracy
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for all patient information
- Format documents according to client-specific style guides (BOS, AMA)
- Utilize advanced transcription software (e.g., ExpressScribe, Dragon)
- Research and clarify medical terminology inconsistencies
- Maintain productivity quotas of 120+ minutes transcribed daily
- Collaborate with quality assurance team for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical transcription experience
- Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or RHDS credential
- Typing speed of 85+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Proficiency in medical terminology (anatomy, pharmacology, diagnostics)
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent command of English grammar and punctuation
- High-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps)
