Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software architectures for our cloud-based platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in San Antonio and New York to define feature requirements and technical specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern programming languages (Java, Python, or JavaScript).
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure code quality and best practices.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in real-time data processing systems.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Ensure data security and compliance standards are met across all remote environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a remote or distributed team setting.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated individual capable of managing time effectively in a fully remote environment.
