Responsibilities
- Coordinate complex multi-specialty schedules for 20+ physicians and advanced practitioners
- Optimize appointment utilization while maintaining 15+ minute patient encounter standards
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and triage urgent patient requests with clinical teams
- Manage real-time schedule adjustments for surgical suites, diagnostic imaging, and telehealth
- Oversee pre-authorization workflows and insurance verification for complex cases
- Analyze scheduling data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
- Mentor junior coordinators on best practices in patient flow management
Qualifications
- 5+ years of healthcare scheduling or patient coordination experience
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EHR scheduling modules and resource management tools
- CCMA or RHIT certification preferred
- Expertise in managing high-volume specialty scheduling (cardiology, oncology, surgery)
- Proven ability to maintain 98%+ schedule accuracy under pressure
- Exceptional conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills
